The literal translation of print-on-demand in German is "print on demand. In fact, this actually explains everything. Print-on-demand describes a production process in which the ordered goods are produced only after the order has been received. The exact number of items ordered is produced. This means, for example, that there is no need to keep all the goods in stock and the entrepreneur does not have to pay for production in advance. In addition, it is possible to produce without a minimum order quantity, i.e. from a quantity of one.
In most cases, print-on-demand providers also offer handling and shipping of the goods in addition to pure production. Print-on-demand saves the environment because all products are guaranteed to have been sold. This avoids surplus production.

Print-on-demand is a process that has become increasingly popular in recent years. Originally, this type of production was used in letterpress printing. With the latest technology in digital printing, Print-on-Demand was then refined and is steadily growing in all areas of printing.
